Reviews from Our Guests
Hi Anna, We had such a wonderful time and are still loving all of our pictures and fun memories……I definitely want to reserve a week next year for my family….. Thanks again for your hospitality and putting up with our very active kids. They did so well on this trip, it has inspired us to bring them on more. Your house made it so easy for all of us to play and get our much needed rest. Best to both of you in paradise.
Hey Anna, Just a thank you note. We really enjoyed our stay. So much to do so little time. How far in advance should we reserve ….? A very relaxing and comfortable place, I really can’t wait to return. Thank You
Dear Anna, I just wanted to send you a quick personal message to say Thank You! Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy such a wonderful time in Rincon. You have such a lovely home and we enjoyed our stay fully. This trip allowed us to just totally relax and enjoy our surroundings, and our accommodations were a major part of that. We felt right at home. The property was exquisite and provided a beautiful environment for our family to have a lot of fun. It was everything we hoped for and much more. Ryan was very friendly, always helpful, and the kids just loved him. It was a pleasure to meet him. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us!
Guest Book: Anna and Steve. Thanks for the gracious hospitality. ..We are continuously talking about how great your places are and can’t wait to return. We have started to spread the word with ‘older’ surfers that your places are great for surfers with families. Actually they are perfect for anyone visiting the area. Ustedes estan de verdad muy buena gente. Hasta la proxima!
I just wanted to take a minute to let you know that Xavier and I had a wonder stay at Casa Por Fin. Our wedding turned out better than we could have expected, everything was beautiful, the grounds at the house are incredible and we couldn’t have picked a better place to have the perfect wedding.
Thank you again!
We are back and all seem settled once again. None of us can believe it came so soon and was over so fast. I guess that summarizes how much we enjoyed the trip. Incidentally, the car rentals in San Juan (Thrifty) were all handled professionally both on pickup and return. The restaurants, Tamboo, Lazy Parrot and Calypso Cafe were superb and the Bakery was a regular stop morning, noon and night. Of course, our favorite breakfast spot was the English Rose. And Bonet’s booze store made a bundle on me not to mention all the others that made regular visits there.
Our only disappointments were the caves over by Arecibo were closed (two trips to find out they are being repaired?), the Katarina sailboat cruises were contracted to a film crew for the length of our visit and the surf was flat most everywhere. It’s summer and that is the way they are in summer.) Horseback riding at Pintos ‘R’ Us was great for the inexperienced and the better horsey set enjoyed riding at Isabela. All of these we missed that out of your control as well as ours but no matter; we had a ball with all the others. The nerdy group among us was fascinated by the radiotelescope at Arecibo. The very fabulous thing about it all is that there were 18 people here (9 kids and 9 adults) and everybody got along with each other without one bit of a problem. It was a very busy week to say the least. But even more, It was more than these grandparent could ask or hope for.
The accommodations at Por Fin were ideal for three families, each with three kids and Bob’s place provided a refuge for the grandparents plus the unmarried son and was close enough to be within shouting (albeit loudly) distance and yet far enough away to obtain peace and quiet when required. Food was purchased at Econo which turned out to be a very good super market almost on the scale of those here in the states.
Lastly, one of the things that impressed me was the condition of the homes, cars, streets, people, etc. I really didn’t see too many junker cars on the road, very few poor homes (shacks), and general cleanliness everywhere. We have been to nearly all of the islands of the Caribbean, and Rincon is better in the apparent standard of living when compared with the villages/ towns in most of them and vastly superior to some of them. It’s a neat place and I hope it stays that way. And the people are super!!
Well, it didn’t intend to run on but this will have to do as a review of the accommodations, town and locals. In short, it was great and we look forward to a return trip in the future but not for only 8 days.
